KNOT KNOW-HOW

FAQS TO GET YOU READY FOR YOUR SAILING ADVENTURE

What happens if there’s bad weather on the day of our sail?

Captain Island Mike is on top of the weather (and he’s got every weather app to prove it!). He’ll reschedule within a reasonable amount of time in the event of inclement weather.

Is the Eagle ride-friendly for kids and seniors?

Sailors of all ages are always welcome aboard! Children must be supervised by an adult. We offer all USCG-required safety gear, including life jackets. Anyone under the age of 13 must wear a life jacket.

Is a bathroom available on the Eagle?

Absolutely…and it smells like sea salt and roses! There’s also an area below the deck to change your clothes as needed.

Can we bring food and drinks onboard?

YES! Ice cold water will be available for all our guests, but you’re welcome to bring whatever food and drinks you desire onboard. We suggest bringing stemless and unbreakable drinkware for your beverages.

Is WiFi available?

WiFi onboard is not necessary, as Long Island Sound is mobile-friendly and you will not lose cellular service. Get ready to post those Insta stories!

Even in the summer, does it get cold on the boat?

Temps are typically cooler on the water, so we suggest bringing a lightweight jacket or sweatshirt and a pair of pants, even in the summer months. If it does get chilly, don’t worry!  We are fully stocked with blankets to help keep you warm.

What else should we pack?

Sunblock, hat, sunglasses, soft-soled shoes, and your camera are also highly recommended!
